Preschool programs earn Gold Circle of Quality

Evergreen Park School District 124's Preschool for All programs have received Gold Circle of Quality distinctions from the Illinois State Board of Education.

The award marks the third consecutive monitoring period that the Northeast and Northwest School programs – led by Student Support Services Coordinator Denise McField – have received the Gold recognition, which is the highest level of distinction offered by the state.

“I’m so proud that we have such a great staff that is dedicated to providing a quality education to our preschool students,” McField said. “All of our teachers and paraprofessionals are invested in the growth of our students and families, and have planned and worked very hard to make this the best program it can be. Receiving this award is such a wonderful achievement."

Northeast School’s preschool staff consists of teachers Lisa Pringle and Alexsandra De La Rosa, as well as paraprofessionals Donna Dilley and Maria Leal. At Northwest School, Jaclyn Connolly and Laura Wahl serve as the preschool teachers, while Cathy Crenshaw and Michele Bachler work as the paraprofessionals. Roxanne Jennings is the parent coordinator for both programs.

The Gold Circle of Quality Award recognizes programs that have demonstrated quality standards established by the ISBE, as validated by an independent assessor. Gold Circle programs meet or exceed specific quality benchmarks.
