Northeast School students recently completed the Woori Taekwondo Kids After School Program, a five-session character development course that incorporates physical exercise with life skill lessons.
The innovative series of classes introduce basic martial arts, and help students improve concentration, listening skills, cooperation, and courtesy. The program includes courses in Focus, Respect, Confidence and Goal-Setting, as well as a Graduation Ceremony in the final week.
All of the students’ $20 registration fee were donated back to Northeast school by Woori, as part of the organization’s commitment to helping children in the local community. The funds will be used to support student activities at Northeast.
The Woori Taekwondo Kids After School Program begins at Northwest School on Feb. 27. For more information, visit www.woorimartialarts.com.
